Following a thought-feeling…

Where do “valuable” feelings originate? And, mind you, they are all “valuable”; it is how quickly we can make sense of their value by feeling them that is really the key. Now is always the time.

There is a continuum of thoughts and feeling that we pattern, that we experience throughout our lives, daily, and moment by moment. They change. They begin again. This is scary for some to consider because most do not like the thoughts that they think very much. However, if we are the ones thinking them, then we have control over the attention we give to them, and therefore, control over them.  And that is the best thing to know about this idea of thought patterning; we are in control. We are the creators, and that’s really most of the answer.

These thoughts, all of them come from inside of us to produce a feeling, or the feeling produces the thought, that is map to our manifestations. So though these two things (thoughts and feelings) are considered different, they work in tandem. Here I will use them interchangeable or collectively. These thought-feelings show us where we are, where we are headed, what we desire and how to get there. They show us where to go. They manifest relationships of co-creation...

And, the best place to stand in order to see our own thought-feelings is in the NOW. This takes some attention and focused intention.

How do you locate this?

You must first start by seeing how you feel. Set an intention to feel. That does not mean drowning yourself in your feelings. This is an invitation to step out of the feeling to see it fully actually. For this process you become the observer of feeling, without judgment. When you see that the feeling is not you, you can step away from it. Byron Katie, the author of The Work, goes through a serious of questions to identify the reality of our feelings. The last of the four questions being: "What would I be without this thought?”

It is true, most of us believe that we take stock of our feelings, but the truth is that we spend a lot of time trying to run from feeling instead of truly seeing them for what they are. We, at times, judge the thought-feelings to distance ourselves from the Lesson, the Way… These feelings are giving us vital information about what is to come, what we are headed toward, decidedly, whether we know it or not.

If you take stock of your feelings, you will be making a Decided Choice about where you go.

You can do this several times a day quite easily. Take intentional moments to feel the sensations within your body while you rove around your space. Feel your feet on the ground or in your shoes. Feel your hips, how they sit or move as you go through your day. Work your way up the body. Feel the shoulders and beyond the top of your head. Tuning in will reveal, with time, the thought-feelings that you carry around. Observe the sensations.
Take time to do this each day. These feelings reveal themselves so that we can enjoy them and fall deeper into them, or make alterations. These feelings are your beaker, so to water them down or not observe them, resist them, is a disservice to you. Feel them. Observe them. You can’t really run anyway, not really. When a strong emotion comes, feel it, so you can decide if you want to continue feeling or thinking it. If so, do. If not, let it go.

Use the breath to inhale and exhale out fully. This does not always happen right way, the letting go, but it can. But, no matter, take the breaths anyway, at least three solid inhales and exhales, that fill you up and then completely empty you out. Afterwards, and instead, think about the other things that feel good to think or feel. I like to think about the trees, how the light hit the leaves or how flexible they can be, how they shed and grow. Or flowers, chocolate, nice pets and friendly interactions, subtle gifts....

So, intentional thought-feeling is where it’s at!! You could create any thought-feeling you want, but choosing the thought-feelings that you want in your experience is the way to all that you want, all that is yours, which you have asked for and which is waiting for you NOW. Think-Feel your way to it.
